As the river runs through...

Long awaits the day... That Dad comes home :) Has it really been a year already? Did it go fast? Most days yes, but some days no. I do admit this has been the busiest year EVER.

Since I was a kid I never thought much about the days to come, instead I focused on the present. I don't know if that is a good or bad mannerism. Both maybe?
That is the character I contribute to getting through this adventure. But for the kids?? I do feel it's been drawn out for them and they are ready for the stability that Dad will inflict on this family once again!

Yes, we are excited!!

I better get busy tidying this place up for his long awaited arrival.

But not before I leave you with a picture of sweet little Mini... She really is as sweet as she looks ;)

Too much to do...

Yes, that is me right now... with too much to do!!! In fact I have converted to an evening coffee drinker this week so I can stay up way to late! I was thinking it was more than possible to be almost 100% organized and all orders sent out by Friday so when hubby gets home we can just RELAX!! (so foreign.)
Doesn't look so promising, but I'm not giving up yet....
2 days of school left.
2 weeks of living in 14A.

2 months of keeping this sweet little girl home with me...
until she too follows the other kids out the door to school. sniff.

Our little Scientist...

Our little man is getting bigger. Has a LOVE for science and animals and a passion for anything outdoors.

Tyke had a great year at school. He had a wonderful hands on teacher. His class was very science oriented. They shared their room with Crawdads and Snails in the winter. Studied rocks early spring and ended with the Butterfly cycle. All which they kept for observation and then released.

Three days of school left until summer vacation!!

I LOVE days when...

The weather turns out to be better than expected!! Although it did happen to change my plans for the day. Instead of staying in working and cleaning I got to take photos of Fancy in the NEW Weekend Collection... and she enjoyed it!!!
And of course being it turned out to be such a gorgeous day and we have been housebound from rain for what seems like forever.... we did make it to the park!!
Who could resist a photo of Baby??
8 MORE DAYS!!!

Today...

We are remembering all those who have served and are serving our country. Thank you!

We now have a BIG BLUE LA-Z-BOY right smack dab in my living room. grrr.
Compliments of my parents giving it to Dad before he moved to Yakima.
I guess I never envisioned it in my own living room, but here it sits and what's even more miserable than the chair itself is the kiddos fighting over it. Seriously, like all day long.
Who woulda thought??

On a cheerful note... Dad moves home in 11 more days!!!
For real. Yay! That is why the la-z-boy is here now. He has moved some of his goods home. I am stuck as to how we {me, Tyke, Mini, Fancy & Baby} should celebrate his homecoming?
We will come up with something.

And I am happy to show a few more items that are in my store today...

Isn't this girl just darling!! I love seeing little girls in my clothing:)
Thank you Cathie for your amazing photography!

My new favorite...

I have had LOTS of this fabric for SO long knowing it had great potential!

...FINALLY... the light bulb went on!
I dropped what I was doing and whipped it out as quickly as I could!

The back is my favorite with the elastic shirring for a feminine look...
and the front has the perfect touch of vintage with the velvet robins egg blue ribbon across the top of the bodice...
... oh my, Fancy's wardrobe is getting quite large.

A Boys World...

The world was made for little boys
With infinite wonders and myriad joys
As he explores the source of brooks
Or recorded lore in interesting books.

As he trails fierce bears imaginary
Or listens quietly for the wild canary,
There are trees to climb - birds to hear,
Animals to greet with love - not fear.

He tramps the woods, fields and streams
Dreaming those wondrous boyhood dreams,
Of conquering worlds - as yet unknown
In that far off day when he is grown,
To manhood stature with noble goal
Imbued with nature's gentle soul.

In the cool of evening or midday sun
Knowing that all of life is one -
Knowing with all its strife and noise
The world was made for little boys.
